Holders House

Holders House is set amoungst five acres of formal gardens and lawns. The house is a 17th century plantation home surrounded by ancient Mahogany trees and features an aesthetically pleasing mix of traditional English and Barbadian architecture. Holders House is one of only a few plantation homes on the West Coast. It's layout takes advantage of the easterly tradewind breezes and there are beautiful views of the Holders Polo Field and the ocean beyond. The house has cool wrap-around verandas and a large swimming pool and terrace. A pool side gazebo can seat up to 12. There is another indoor dining area and comfortable sitting rooms. There are 5 ensuite bedrooms and a further 2 bedrooms that share a bathroom. All the rooms have air-conditioning and ceiling fans. This property has well landscaped gardens and is popular with holiday renters. Some of the furniture can be purchased by negotiation. In addition to the main house there are a number of cottages and outbuildings - Mango Cottage is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage; the JB cottage is a one bedroom, one bathroom wooden chattel house, a Green Chattel cafe and a substantial Studio buidling with a large office and storage. The Studio building and lawn in front of it is where the weekly Farmer's Market is held every Sunday from 9 - 2 pm. Holders House is a truly unique property.
